Cleantech for UK Joins Foresight Event 2026 as Official Event Partner to Accelerate UK’s Clean Transition

November 24, 2025

Cleantech for the UK is proud to announce its official partnership with the Foresight Event 2026. This collaboration significantly reinforces both organisations' commitment to accelerating the UK's transition to a net-zero economy by tackling the most critical challenges in clean energy, infrastructure, and industrial decarbonisation.

The partnership integrates Cleantech for UK's unparalleled policy insight, investment expertise, and innovation leadership directly into the heart of The Foresight Event programme. This strategic alignment ensures that the dialogue remains focused on removing systemic barriers and unlocking the substantial private capital required for innovation to reach commercial scale.

The Foresight Event agenda is built around enabling tangible, real-world deployment. Core priorities include modernising the national grid, scaling clean power generation, establishing resilient and future-proof industrial systems, and addressing the rapidly growing energy demand from digital infrastructure. These focus areas mirror Cleantech for UK’s core mission: to strengthen the domestic cleantech ecosystem, facilitate the flow of private investment, and ensure that cutting-edge solutions are deployed quickly and efficiently across the economy.

A key feature of the partnership will be the direct contribution of Sarah Mackintosh, the Director of Cleantech for UK, on the high-profile panel, “Powering the Cloud: The Race to Decarbonise Data Centre Energy”. Ms. Mackintosh’s contribution will critically assess how smart policy design, effective regulation, and targeted investment mechanisms can collectively support the clean transformation of the UK’s digital infrastructure, currently one of the nation's fastest-growing sources of electricity demand.

Eric Lewis, Founder and Managing Director of Foresight Events, said, “The Foresight Event is specifically designed to convene the essential ecosystem actors needed to drive change: technology developers, crucial investors, energy system operators, and influential policymakers. This partnership with Cleantech for UK allows us to help decisively shape the conversations that will directly influence future investment pathways, inform critical industrial strategy, and accelerate the development of the robust clean energy systems that the UK now urgently requires.”

Crucially, the partnership will establish a platform for essential cross-sector dialogue. Cleantech for UK will support in-depth discussions spanning clean energy investment frameworks, tangible industrial decarbonisation strategies, the radical transformation of the grid, and the enabling technologies that will underpin a comprehensive net-zero economy. As these interconnected topics remain at the forefront of the current governmental agenda, maintaining a continuous, open, and productive business-policy dialogue is paramount for the sustained growth and success of the UK’s Cleantech sector.
